Music heals

The concert held by the New Hope Orchestra on the outdoor premises of the Fundeni Institute under the extremely sad and burdensome circumstances of the new SARS virus pandemic brightened our day.

I still recall melodic fragments from that day. For us doctors as well as for our patients, music is emotion bringing peace and hope. Besides, in the world of science, patients in a coma or a vegetative state are played classical music through headphones to help with their cerebral recovery.

The kind of music that New Hope played brought us a state of inner joy in which the physical body is free of needs and the mind glides among sounds. The tranquillity we felt that day, during those moments with you, was a miracle. We thank you and look forward to repeating the experience.
